Hi, I’m Geanina
I’m a qualified counsellor experienced in supporting people with low self-esteem, anxiety, and relationship difficulties.
In our sessions, I offer a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where you can bring whatever feels heavy or confusing — your worries, challenges, or difficult experiences. My clients often tell me they value my gentle, grounded presence and the insightful questions that help them find clarity, shift perspective, and reconnect with themselves.
My approach is collaborative and relational. I work by being fully present with you, listening deeply, and asking questions that invite new understanding. You lead the way, deciding what feels most important to explore, while I hold space for you and guide the process when it feels right. My intention is to build a relationship that helps you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward the life and self you wish to create.
I often draw on mindfulness and somatic (body-based) awareness, as these practices can help us reconnect with the present moment and understand our emotions more fully. I also integrate parts work, a gentle and empowering way to explore inner patterns that may shape how we relate to ourselves and others.
I’m originally from Romania, and moved to the UK in my mid-twenties. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in several different fields — from translation and broadcasting to career coaching — yet I always felt something was missing. My own challenges eventually led me to seek therapy, which became a turning point in my life. It helped me rediscover parts of myself I had lost, find my voice, and rebuild my confidence. That experience inspired me to train as a psychotherapist — a role that brings together my deepest passions: understanding people at a meaningful level and supporting them through their own growth and healing.
I take great joy in witnessing the changes that unfold as my clients begin to see themselves with greater compassion, confidence, and clarity.
How I work
I believe we often carry elements of our past into the present without realising it — old images, beliefs, or feelings that once protected us but may now hold us back. Sometimes, our pain is a signal that the way we see ourselves does not reflect who we truly are.
As your therapist, I will walk alongside you as you bring awareness to what no longer serves you, so you can reconnect with the authentic, whole self that’s been there all along.
I am based in Winchester, Hampshire, and I work both in person and online.
My Training
My training is in Psychosynthesis psychology, a gentle yet powerful approach to personal growth and healing. It sees each person as a whole — not just your struggles, but also your strengths, values, and unique potential. In our work together, we’ll explore both your past experiences and your current challenges, while also focusing on who you are becoming and the life you want to create.
Work with me
Does the above sound good, but you’re not sure that you want to work with me? I offer a free introductory call to help you decide.
