Hi, I’m Geanina

I am a fourth-year student at the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London (which supervises my therapeutic work) and a student member of BACP, whose Ethical Framework I adhere to. I am also a student member of the APP and I am bound by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

I am currently a counsellor at the Psychosynthesis Trust in London. My background is in broadcasting and translation. I also have experience working as a career coach having trained in this area.

What brought me to this work is my passion for understanding people and my desire to be a soothing presence for them. Also I know how powerful therapy can be having benefitted from it myself. My clients tell me they appreciate my calm and gentle presence as well as my insightful questions.

I currently live in London and I am fluent in both English and Romanian.

How I work

I practice Psychosynthesis, a transpersonal psychology that has a hopeful perspective on our struggles as human beings, seeing them as avenues for growth. It has much in common with Jungian psychology, Gestalt, humanistic and existential approaches.

In our work together we may include: guided meditations and imagery, creative work such as drawing, dreams and mindfulness. But only if you’re open to it. We will also include parts work as sometimes our pain comes from the fact that some parts of ourselves haven’t received the care and understanding they need.

My intention is to offer you a safe space where you can feel listened to and accepted no matter what you bring to therapy. Exploring your inner landscape in such a space will allow you to see yourself more clearly and to take a new perspective on your current struggles. With increased awareness, shifts will begin to happen within that will have a positive influence on how you act outside the therapy room as well.

Work with me

It’s important that the person you work with feels right to you so I offer a free 15-minute call so you can decide if I’m the right therapist for you.
